About Me
Hello, I’m Jamula (Jamalah) Taylor, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Masters from the University of Phoenix in 2014. Throughout my career, I have worked in various programs to gain diverse experiences, including working with individual males in California Corrections, women who were victims of domestic violence, adults with severe mental illnesses, individual adults, adolescents, and children. My therapy style is perceived as laid-back, but it is primarily due to being authentic and allowing clients to be authentic. While I can be direct, it is typically once rapport is built. I also allow the client to lead and direct therapy depending on the severity of the presenting problem. I enjoy utilizing solution-focused therapy, cognitive therapy, psychoanalytic therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to help individuals find solutions to many issues.
