In life, complex obstacles can leave us feeling uncertain on which the path to take or how to respond. I strive to create an authentic welcoming atmosphere for my clients to explore their life in a new way. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, communication and self compassion. By bringing more attention on our internal thoughts and feelings, we can often better understand our fears, defenses and old wounds that are getting in the way. Using the Psycho-dynamic model as well as mindfulness and interpersonal biology are my approaches to connect with my clients.
In the past 12 years I have worked in the private setting, school setting, and community serving individuals, parents, and children/adolescents. My experience also includes individual clinical therapy with military families, spouses and active service military personnel providing individual mental health therapy on a weekly basis. I have experience assisting individuals working through divorce, separations, life transitions, parenting, IPV/DV, and Trauma. In my practice I have utilized evidenced based models such as TF-CBT, CBT, Mindfulness, and Psycho-dynamic Therapy.
