About Me
I am a Mexicana/Indigenous psychotherapist who approaches healing from a holistic framework that addresses the whole person- mind, body, heart and spirit. I understand the connection between body, mind and spirit and incorporate trauma informed body based modalities, indigenous knowledge, culturally centered, social justice and trauma focused framework to address historical, social and political inequalities impacting mental and emotional wellness. In addition I offer western evidence based techniques such as: EMDR, mindfulness based cognitive psychotherapy, TF-CBT and trauma informed care. I practice from a liberator anti-oppressive stance. I acknowledge the realities of systemic oppression and am aware of my own privileges and how they impact my work. I am actively engaged in decolonizing old paradigms and committed to the wellbeing and collective liberation of our mind, body and spirit. I work from a place of sacred purpose, integrity and truth.
